A message from our CEO…
Dear Friends and Community Members,
As we reflect on 2025 at Guidance Center of Lea County (GCLC), I am filled with gratitude and pride for the progress we have made together. Our commitment to enhancing mental health services and supporting our community has never been stronger.
One of the most exciting developments on our horizon is our upcoming designation as a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC). This designation will enable us to provide more comprehensive, accessible care to those who need it most, ensuring that our community receives the highest standard of services.
In addition to behavioral health, we recognize that overall well-being is shaped by more than clinical care. That’s why GCLC continues to integrate Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) into our approach—factors such as housing, employment, education, and access to nutritious food. By addressing these critical elements alongside behavioral health needs, we strive to create a holistic system of care that truly meets the needs of every individual we serve.
We are also thrilled to share that Primary Care services will soon be available at GCLC, further strengthening our ability to provide whole-person care. This expansion will allow clients to receive both physical and behavioral health support under one roof, reducing barriers and improving outcomes for our community.
Our focus on data-driven care continues to shape our approach through our “Metrics that Matter” initiative. By analyzing patient outcomes, we not only understand the effectiveness of our programs but also identify opportunities for improvement. This commitment to evidence-based practices enables us to refine our services and ensure we meet the diverse needs of our clients.
We are proud of the continued growth of our Autism Clinic and the expansion of our Severe Behavior Program, which provides specialized support to individuals and families and fosters a nurturing environment for growth and development.
At GCLC, our greatest asset is our dedicated workforce. We continually invest in our staff, enhance professional development opportunities, and strive to create an environment where everyone feels valued and empowered. Our goal is to be recognized as a top employer in the region, attracting and retaining talent that is passionate about making a difference in the lives of those we serve.
Thank you for your ongoing support and trust in us. Together, we are building a brighter future for our community—one step at a time.
Warm regards,
Nichole Chambers, LCSW
